ClearCanvass ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the ClearCanvass platform, including the website at clearcanvass.io, the ClearCanvass mobile application, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform. Please read this policy carefully. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described herein.
This policy applies to two categories of users: (1) Consumers — homeowners and businesses who interact with the Platform through a dealer's virtual demo or shared results link; and (2) Dealers, Representatives, and Suppliers — water treatment businesses and their employees who use the Platform to manage sales, canvassing, and customer relationships.
Consumers: When you participate in a virtual water demo or receive a shared results link, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, home or business address, water source type (city or well), and water test results you enter during the demo. This information is provided voluntarily and is used solely to generate your personalized water quality report and to allow the dealer who shared the demo with you to follow up.
Dealers, Representatives, and Suppliers: When you register for a dealer account or are added as a representative, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, business address, billing information, and account credentials. We also collect information you input into the Platform, including customer records, canvassing pins, appointment details, work orders, warranties, and credit applications.
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type and operating system, pages visited and time spent, referring URLs, and GPS coordinates (with your permission) when using the canvassing map feature. This information is used to operate and improve the Platform and is not sold to third parties.
The canvassing map feature requires access to your device's GPS location. Location data is used solely to display your position on the map, enable pin drops, and support territory management. You may disable location access in your device settings at any time; doing so will limit canvassing map functionality but will not affect other Platform features.
If you contact us via email or through the Platform, we retain records of that communication, including the content of your messages and any attachments, for customer support and quality assurance purposes.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use consumer water test data for advertising or marketing purposes unrelated to the dealer who collected it.
We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform and fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Dealer account data is retained for the duration of the active subscription plus 90 days following termination. Consumer water test data is retained for as long as the associated dealer account remains active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
We use session cookies to maintain your login state and provide a seamless experience. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; however, doing so may prevent you from logging in to the Platform.
The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), hashed authentication credentials, and access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
The Platform integrates with the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification to registered users. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
